Things not to do after your appointment:

Your brows will heal over a 2 week period. During this period you must:

  • Avoid sweating or doing anything that will cause you to sweat.

  • Avoid being in direct sunlight or wear a hat if going in direct sunlight.

  • Avoid sleeping on your side.

  • Leave your scabs alone. Do not pick, peel, or pull on them.

  • Avoid touching your brows with your hands.

  • Not wear eyebrow makeup.

  • Not expose your brows to excessive humidity or moisture i.e. facials, swimming, hot tubs, saunas or steamy showers.

  • Not use peroxide or Neosporin on your brows.

  • Avoid tanning.

  • Cleaning and taking care of your brows:

Day 1-3

Overall: You must keep your brows free of lymph and fluid build-up. Doing this will minimize scabbing and loss of pigment.

  • Direction: Pat your brows with a wet cotton pad or paper towel every 15mins for the first 2 hours to remove lymph. After the first 2 hours, pat your brows with a wet cotton pad or paper towel periodically for the remainder of Days 1 - 3.

Day 4- 14

Overall: We do not want the brows to dry out. Drying out forms more scabbing and more scabbing equals pigment loss. We want to keep the brows nice and moisturized, but not over-saturated.

  • Direction: On Day 4, pat clean your brows using a wet cotton pad or paper towel. Do not apply water to your brows. Do not soak the gauze or paper towel in water. Do not rub your brows. Lightly wet the gauze or paper towel and pat clean your brows. After pat cleaning, apply a thin coat of the oil or ointment provided to you in your aftercare kit using a q-tip.

  • Then leave your brows alone until you feel it is either dry or itchy. Once you feel it is dry or itchy, pat clean, and apply a thin coat of the oil provided to you in the aftercare kit.

  • Repeat pat cleaning and applying a thin coat of the oil (but only when the brows are itchy or dry) until brows are fully healed by Day 14.

After your brows have healed:

Remember, permanent makeup is meant to fade over time and lifestyle affects how quickly your brows fade. Continuing to take care of your brows will hinder premature fading. You should avoid using retin-a, glycolic acid, exfoliants and anti-aging products on your microbladed eyebrows. Apply sunscreen whenever in direct sunlight.

PLEASE REVIEW THE PRE/AFTERCARE SCHEDULE FOR YOUR NEW BROWS. If you feel like you are unable to strictly follow these rules, please do not submit this form as you will not be satisfied with the outcome of your brows.

72 HOURS BEFORE PROCEDURE:

  • To minimalize bleeding during the procedure, you must Avoid ALL blood thinners including caffeine, coffee, tea, boba tea, soda, smoking, alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin E, fish oil, shakes, hair/skin supplements, working out, ginger and turmeric (yes these are natural blood thinners). Bleeding pushes the pigment out of the skin as we are trying to put it into the skin. Try increasing your water intake as well if you are a frequent caffeine drinker. Avoid tanning or direct sunlight.

  • Menstrual Cycle/Birth Control: You can be a bit more sensitive during this time of month.

2 WEEKS BEFORE

  • Avoid Tweezing, waxing, threading, electrolysis, retinol on your brows only, and coloring/tinting your brows. I will groom your brows during your appointment. Refrain from using AHA (Alpha Hydroxy Acids) products close to your eyebrows.

2 MONTHS BEFORE

  • Must not be on any antibiotic medication. Discontinue glycolic, chemical peels, and topical retin-A around the eyebrow area. If you are using Latisse on your eyebrows, discontinue use.

3 MONTHS BEFORE

  • Avoid Botox.

SUMMARY

  • Failure to follow these instructions, especially the blood thinners part, may affect the outcome of your healed results.

  • Please know we will go over all of this again at the time of your appointment.
